Who are we?
iIMPACT uIMPACT is an innovation foundation a with global impact. We believe that small things can have a big impact to change our world. We believe in the power of I and YOU to effect positive change and transformation in our world: imagine it, make the choice, believe in yourself, and do it.
What are we trying to do?
In 2015 the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; a blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries. This is a massive undertaking and we only have 10 years left. We want to help developing nations achieve enormous goals; ending poverty, improving health and education, reducing inequality, spurring economic growth, and tackling climate change and environmental preservation, all by 2030.
How are we going to do this?
We believe youth are the catalyst for change and sustainability leadership. We have developed U17 youthiMPACT, an education and experience programme that will introduce the 17 SDGs to youth under age 17. The curriculum will present the SDGs in an age appropriate, and engaging way, channeling their energy and encouraging them to see a different future, to challenge the status quo, and to mobilize their families and communities to take action, making social, economic, environmental changes through four simple steps:
Imagining our communities (seeing the possibilities)
Choosing to change (leaving no one behind)
Believing in our future (creating peace, prosperity and progress)
Doing the right thing (making our own impact responsibly)
We believe in utilizing local talent and will tap into the wealth of knowledge in each country to develop, translate, and communicate our programme to youth, creating a circle of SDG outreach and education.
